The two self catering, attached cottages offer superb accommodation.
They are located on a lane in the gentle foothills of the Clwydian Mountain range in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just ten minutes from the picturesque, medieval town of Ruthin, this is an ideal location from which to enjoy North Wales' magnificent mountains, beaches, resorts, heritage and history. The Offa's Dyke path runs to the rear of the properties. Follow the nearby footpath to the top and absorb the breathtaking scenery of both Snowdon in the far distance and the coast on a clear day.
Since the mid 17th century the cottages have provided homes to rural families. The panoramic views across open countryside have changed little through the centuries. The one bedroom cottage was once home to a family with five children! The cottages are adjacent to the owner's farmhouse which was a coaching inn and listed in local history.
All three cottages have been completely renovated so that guests can still enjoy the 'olde world charm' of whitewashed walls and oak beams whilst benefiting from all modern facilities to ensure a cosy, warm welcome to guests. They are exceptionally well equipped to offer you the comforts and privacy of home; the cottages and their pretty gardens are self contained - there are no shared facilities.
Do you need a break from it all, have an anniversary coming up or just want some time together alone? Let the surroundings chase away life's pressures. The watchwords for your holiday here are peace, quiet relaxation. What we offer is designed for adult couples, but we regret not for children, teenagers or pets. We are open all year, except for Christmas week.
Accommodation
- Welcome tray, wine, fresh flowers and complimentary toiletries on arrival.
- Beds are full size and ready made with lovely fresh bedlinen to entice you to dream.
- Double glazed and centrally heated for year round use. Instant hot water, electricity and VAT are included in the tariff. Guests are requested to bring their own towels.
- Ground floor bathrooms with thermostatic showers over the bath.
- Colour television with video and a stereo with CD player.
- Washer/dryer, full cooker, microwave, fridge, iron etc.
- Paved and screened gardens with picnic tables.
- Off road parking next to the owner's property with sensor lighting.
- A selection of books, games and quality magazines are available.
